Green Education was established within the Education Strategy of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo as a joint initiative with LINKS. The programme, developed by the Edtech research Unit,  builds on and systematises the expertise developed by the partner organisations in the fields of educational innovation and educational research.

The project aims to strengthen knowledge and competences related to the twin digital and ecological transition in schools, through the experimentation of new pedagogical models, technological tools, and training pathways. These are designed to enable schools to prepare students – in both lower and upper secondary education – to face with awareness the challenges and opportunities arising from the ongoing economic, environmental, and social transformation.

The programme is structured around three complementary projects, each with a specific focus and dedicated target group, which together form an integrated ecosystem of educational interventions:

  • GREEN JOB – Guidance and training initiatives focused on the professions of the future, with particular attention to agricultural technical and vocational institutes.
  • GREEN & BLU LAB – Research and experimentation laboratories exploring the relationship between environment, learning, and school wellbeing, addressed to lower secondary schools.
  • SKILLS FOR THE PLANET – Educational pathways for the ecological and digital transition, aimed at both lower and upper secondary schools.
