Quantum Computing & Simulation Lab.

The multidisciplinary laboratory L-QCS (Lab Quantum Computing & Simulation) a joint initiative between LINKS, PoliTO, INRIM is equipped with a superconducting quantum computer IQM Spark 5Qbit dedicated to the field of quantum computation and simulation. The Laboratory acts as a territorial reference center for the acquisition, production and maintenance of quantum hardware and the related classical interface. Furthermore, it deals with the development, implementation and testing of quantum and hybrid algorithms for the resolution of problems of industrial and scientific interest, as well as the software stack for the integration of quantum machines with HPC systems, very relevant topics for national and European research projects.

The L-QCSlaboratory pools the skills, resources and experience in the field of quantum computation and simulation and the related classical interface. Furthermore, it deals with developing and testing quantum and hybrid algorithms for solving problems of industrial and scientific interest, as well as the software stack for integrating quantum machines with HPC systems.

L-QCS allows emulating, testing and benchmarking quantum software and hardware, developing and testing interfaces between the two computational models in a laboratory environment.
