SALUTEDERM – Promuovere la salute della pelle attraverso l’innovazione e la ricerca dermatologica

Start Date: 30/01/2024
End Date: 29/01/2026

The SALUTEDERM project operates within the context of teledermatology, which is telemedicine applied to skin health. This discipline aims to overcome geographical barriers and related logistical difficulties to make dermatological healthcare more effective and accessible.

The collaboration with the Institut Agricole Régional (IAR) of Aosta, which involves the development of an innovative dermatological product for wound healing, has allowed LINKS to expand its research field from the recognition of lesions such as moles and melanomas to that of skin ulcers.

LINKS’s objective is to develop a prototype device featuring an image acquisition module integrated with an automated system which, through conventional image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms, will identify lesions, providing not only a preliminary diagnosis but also a method for monitoring their evolution.

The project is funded under the “R&D Aggregations – Health” call issued by the Department of Economic Development, Training and Labor, Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Research, Innovation, and Technology Transfer of the Aosta Valley Region.

SALUTEDERM is coordinated by Neuro-Zone Srl in collaboration with Thallosjet Srl, IAR, and LINKS.
