STAR project aims at preventing radical behaviour among youngsters by reinforcing sport organisations capability and promoting sport within youngsters living in peripheral areas.
Firstly, STAR will focus on analyzing the topic and developing a training program on sport and radicalization, also creating the basis for the development of international network.
The second phase of the project will concern the development of capacity building section addressed to sport operators, by International School and peer-to-peer trainings carried out in different European countries. Finally, a pilot will be implemented in Turin aiming at promoting sport within youngsters and testing coaches in institutional courses carried out by CUS Torino.
The Circular Economy & Sustainable Living Area, on behalf of the CUS Torino, beneficiary of the project, deals with the research activities, analyzing European best practices and the training needs of sports operators, monitoring and evaluating pilot actions. It will also be involved in some training activities regarding the use of technologies for the promotion of sport and the involvement of young people.
