Our colleague Massimo Migliorini gave a double speech at DRD24 – Disaster Research Days, an international event on disaster risk management organized in Vienna by the European Commission – Community of European Research and Innovation for Security (CERIS) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) – European Science and Technology Advisory Board (ESTAG):
- participation in the Panel “Innovate to Protect: Building Resilience Against CBRN Risks”, where the potential of Virtual Reality as an element of prevention of CBRN risks (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) was brought to light;
- role of Chair of the Panel “Igniting Change, Inspiring Resilience: Higher Education as a Catalyst for Disaster Preparedness”, where Zvonko Sigmund, Thomas Glade and Franziska Wankmüller intervened in a valuable debate on literacy in schools with respect to the risks of Natural Disasters, with a focus on the context of cultural heritage and UNESCO sites.
Furthermore, he was interviewed on the future of #ExtendedReality technologies. The speech is available on the #Grow-App (#XR) platform, at the link https://grow-app.it/2024/10/03/il-designer-del-futuro-nuove-professioni-ad-alta-tecnologia/
