The technologies developed by the FASTER project has been successfully tested in a flood scenario: despite the COVID restrictions, the demonstration, organized by the Civil Protection of the Piedmont Region with the support of CSI Piemonte, has been executed in safe conditions.
The project partners have provided remote support, while the responders and volunteers deployed in the field have managed the response activities in coordination with the regional control center using the technologies developed by the project, among which the ones realized by the Data Science area of LINKS Foundation, namely a mobile app (Chatbot) and a wearable app with voice and gesture commands aimed at improving the management of surveillance and emergency response activities.
