On May 6th Gabriella Povero, from Space & Navigation Technologies Area, presented the research activities carried on by LINKS in Vietnam in the field of satellite navigation at the conference Italy-Vietnam Conference on Science and Technology Cooperation. Experiences and Perspectives for Sustainable Development.
The event was held in hybrid format, online and live in Hanoi, Vietnam and involved more than one hundred researchers and diplomats from Italy and Vietnam.
The conference was organized by the Italian Embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnamese Ministry of Scientific Research to celebrate the publication of the book “Innovations in Land, Water and Energy for Vietnam’s Sustainable Development” published by Springer. The book contains examples of scientific collaboration between Italy and Vietnam in several domains. The collaboration between HUST, Politecnico and LINKS has proven to be profitable for all the institutions involved in the long run.
Two chapters were written by researchers from LINKS (G. Povero, M. Troglia Gamba, M. Vannucchi) and Politecnico di Torino (Prof. G. Belforte), in collaboration with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Prof. TH Tung et al):
- GNSS-based solutions for road applications in Vietnam (G. Povero and M. Troglia Gamba from LINKS)
- Collaborative RTD for Precise and Reliable GNSS Based Positioning for Land Management (G. Povero and M. Vannucchi from LINKS, and Prof. G. Belforte from Politechnico)
