On February 28th 2019 Federico Stirano, of the Environmental Protection Area, will held a speech with the title “Business models to foster energy-driven building regeneration” in the “Innovation Workshop Energy and Buildings” workshop, organized during the European Energy Efficiency Conference (www.wsed.at) in Wels (Austria), during the World Sustainable Energy Days.

Il workshop is one of the communication initiatives of the BuildHEAT project (www.buildheat.eu), co-funded by the European Commission in the framework of the Horizon 2020 program, which aims at developing technology packs to promote the energy retrofit of residential buildings. These packs, coupled with innovative financing mechanisms, will foster urban regeneration based on savings coming from energy efficiency.

In particular, the speech will focus on the financial models for building energy retrofit, showing the analysis carried out in the BuildHEAT project.
